First tropical storm wreaks havoc in Lampang villages

Nearly 100 wooden houses in two districts of the northern Thai province of Lampang were hit by a tropical storm that left trails of destruction for more than 450 families yesterday evening (May 17, 2021).

Mae-ta District Officer Suree Ma-plook together with local officials and volunteers inspected the damages of more than 50 houses in Huatoong, Kiew and Natom villages. Several tin roofs were blown away by the storm.
