Flood disaster declared in 4 southern districts

FOUR districts in the southern province of Nakhon Si Thammarat were declared emergency disaster areas by Governor Chamroen Tippayapongtada today (Nov. 29), INN News reported.

The order was issued after three days of torrential rain trapped thousands of people in their homes in Chulaporn, Bangkan, Cha-oud and Thungsong districts.

The trapped residents had been told to cut off electricity supply and look out for snakes and other animals that may flee into their homes. Food supply and drinking water lasting 5 days have been given to the villagers.
