Free durian on Labor Day at temple

Hundreds of people descended on Tha Mai Temple in the central Thai province of Samut Sakhon yesterday (May 1, 2019) to eat durian provided by the temple free of charge to celebrate Labor Day, sanook.com reported.

A young local man was the first person to arrive for the ‘Durian Buffet’ at 6.00 a.m. Hundreds of more people queued up before the 9.000 a.m. opening ceremony.

“We have stocked up 10 tons of durian for this occasion. Each person can take two portions of durian and may queue up again if they want to eat more,” said a local temple administrator.
