DEPUTY Prime Minister and Defense Minister Gen Prawit Wongsuwan today (Sept 20, 2018) refused to talk to reporters about former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra’s dig, INN News reported.
Gen Prawit, who flew to northeastern Kalasin province this morning to preside over a ceremony to hand over land and house title deeds that were fraudulently seized by creditors back to their owners, appeared to be in a good mood as he smiled and waved at reporters.
Former premier Thaksin yesterday retaliated against Gen Prawit by tweeting that his attitude and tone is solemn, which is frightening. This is not soft and sweet like when he came and held his desk asking to be army commander-in-chief.
Meanwhile Defense Ministry’s spokesman Lt-Gen Kongcheep Tantrawanich said he believes Gen Prawit is not angry at Thaksin but it is best to stick to the truth.
He added that the public knows full well what happened over the past 10 years and everyone already understands.
If anyone thinks this is a way to discredit it is up to them, he said, adding the country is governed by law and if an individual does something that person has to accept the consequences of his action, otherwise the society cannot live together.
