A Facebook User posted online on 19 November 2019 asking for help stating “Please Help, in case someone saw what happened. Yesterday on Monday the 18th at 16.27 Itsaraphap Road my girlfriend had just withdrawn 320,000 THB from the bank. She fainted on the road and when she regained consciousness the brown envelope with cash inside was gone. If anyone saw what happened, please contact me at 0971415777.”
The user also attached a security footage video showing the girl fainting in the middle of the road. Citizens nearby ran in to help her and formed a small crowd. Some good citizens helped deliver her to the hospital. When she woke up on the hospital bed, she asked if anyone saw a brown envelope but it turns out someone did see it and the same person might have taken it.
The person who stole the money took advantage of a person in their week moment. The victim is 3 months pregnant and she lost consciousness as she was walking back from the Phran Nok Market. She is also engaged to the boyfriend with wedding plans already arranged. The bride to be stated with a shaking voice, when she lost consciousness, she remembered that she dropped her bag. The money was for the wedding and her child.
The boyfriend stated that he was saving up for the wedding. 200,000 THB was a gift to the bride’s parents at the wedding, and 100,000 THB was for purchasing items. He still has hope that a good citizen will return the money. The wedding won’t be canceled as the wedding invitations have been delivered to all the guests. If the money is lost forever, then he plans to apply for a loan from the bank for the wedding set on 23 November 2019.
