A 59-year-old grandmother is in grief yesterday (June 24, 2019) after finding that two more stray cats under her care have been poisoned to death, the Thai-language daily Khao Sod reported.
Living alone in a village in the northern Thai province of Sukhothai, Mrs Kamolwan Kongchoke has taken care of stray cats for more than 10 years. She uses her monthly income from the government Welfare Smart Card to buy food for the animals.
“I don’t know who have poisoned them,” she said. “Five dead cats were first found in April this year, and six more cats were poisoned in May.”
