Heavy rain a blessing for farmers

Northeastern farmers are smiling again after a storm has dumped more water into the reservoir behind Moon Bon Dam in Kornburi district of Nakhon Ratchasima province, the Thai-language daily Thai Rath reported yesterday (3 Sept 2019).

The volume of water in the reservoir behind the dam has increased to 34.7 million cubic meters or about 24.37 percent of the total dam capacity.

With more rain, it will be easier for dam officials to release water to farmers, and for municipal officials to dispense clean water to people in Nakhon Ratchasima.
