Highway ban on trucks during Songkran

The Royal Thai Police Office yesterday (April 1, 2019) announced that ten-wheel trucks will be barred from travelling on 4 roads and national highways during the Songkran Festival, the Thai-language daily Thai Rath reported.

The ban, which takes effect during April 11-17, 2019, will affect the following highways sections:

  1. Paholyotin Highway from kilometer markers 332 to 347 in Muang district of Nakhon Sawan
  2. Rangsiyothai Road from kilometer markers 0 to 7 in Muang district of Nakhon Sawan
  3. Friendship Highway from kilometer markers 15+600 in Kaengkoi district of Saraburi province to kilometer markers 103+200 in Sikiew District of Nakhon Ratchasima province.
  4. Kabin Buri Road in Prachin Buri province from kilometer marker 165+400 in Kabin Buri district to kilometer marker 195+600 in Nadee district.
