TODAY marks one month since the demise of beloved His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej,and this led to a huge number of mourners flocking to pay their respects in front of the Royal urn, Thai News Agency said.
Large crowds of people both from Bangkok and various provinces such as Uttaradit, Lopburi, Nong Khai and Samut Prakarn came early in the morning and waited patiently in a long queue to pay their last respects to the remains of His Majesty the late King.
As Thammasat University’s graduation ceremony continued for the second day today this triggered heavy traffic congestion around Sanam Luang Park leading to the authorities recommending that people use public transportation.
Yesterday a total of 28,563 mourners paid their last respects to the remains of His Majesty the late King.
