POLICE are seeking an arrest warrant for a brutal debt collector who used a chair to smash the head of a noodle vendor, then pulled her hair to slap her face and kick her neck with a housewife standing nearby also getting injured, Thai News Agency reported today (May 10).
The suspect, Chatchawan Taladpru, 31, ruthlessly bashed up Mrs Dawan Sikhokruad, 53, who sells noodles at a food hall near a bus stop on Mitraphab road in Mueang district of northeastern Nakhon Ratchasima province, or Korat, on Tuesday May 8 evening.
Another vendor intervened and tried to stop the beating, with Dawan having later to get 20 stiches on her head.
Mrs Samrai Munmuenwai, 51, a housewife, was also accidentally hit.
Police found out that Chatchawan again last evening (May 9) went to collect debt from a drink vendor who had already been beaten up many times previous. He also often draws a knife when debts are not repaid on time.
