A wife had a lot of free time after the order came out to close certain businesses that were not necessary for daily life. The woman was not used to staying home so she decided to go play some gambling with a group of gamblers. The husband was scared that the wife might end up infected and bring back home Covid-19 so he called the police and gave information about a group of gamblers. This led to the arrest of the wife and 3 other suspects on 27 March 2020.
The Nakhon Ratchasima Police arrested 4 suspects, 3 males, and a female while they were gambling with the card game “Rummy”. The suspects have been sent to the Nakhon Ratchasima Court for prosecution. Wisut Chatwanwong the deputy governor stated that officials received a complaint from a male citizen, this was later revealed to be the husband of the female suspect. The province has ordered 22 businesses to temporarily close down in order to minimize the spread of Covid-19. This caused the husband and wife to have free time, perhaps too much.
The wife has been spending her free time gambling in a village located behind Saint Mary’s Hospital. The husband had great fear that the wife would get infected by Covid-19 from the other gamblers who probably also had too much free time on their hands. He decided that strict action was required to finally put a stop on his wife. This is when officials received the information providing an exact location of where the card games were taking place. The suspects were arrested with cards and 4,000 THB cash used in the games. Thankfully, none of the suspects had a fever or showed Covid-19 symptoms.
