HUNDREDS of commuters who hoped to travel by boat rather than flooded roads this morning (Jan. 10) were left stranded after Rua San Saeb temporarily halted its boat service when canal water level rose too high for these boats to safely go under the bridges, INN News reported.
Krub Krua Khon Song announced at 10 am that Rua San Saeb had been forced to temporarily halt the service from Sriboonruang pier near Ramkhamhaeng road till Phanfa bridge pier because the canal water is so high its boats cannot go under the bridges.

Meanwhile Mr Narong Ruangsi, head of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s Flood Control Center, said today’s hours long driving rain occurred because of variable weather patterns.
As of mid-morning almost all Bangkok districts had got flooded, and 6 areas potentially face a flood crisis among which are Lad Phrao, Pattanakarn, Srinakharin around Krungthep Kreetha area, entrance of Soi Bearing and Soi LaSalle on Sukhumvit road, he said, adding in Lad Phrao the floodwater is already up to the wheel level.
