A customer named Pueng shared the incident on her personal Facebook account on the 13th of this month (August 2019) that took place on the 5th of this month. She went to purchase children’s clothing for her baby at a famous department store in Don Muang Branch, Bangkok. She realized after the purchase that the dress had bad stitching so she went to exchange the item for a new one, this is when things took a wrong turn.
When Pueng arrived she handed the dress to the staff and informed why she wanted to exchange the dress. The staff informed her that all the other dresses also had the same issue, Pueng told the staff that it was a faulty item and the others had good stitching. The staff told her to go get a new dress if she wanted to exchange it. Pueng asked the staff if there was another way as she had to go back and forth between floor 1 and floor 2 many times to complete the process.
The staff informed her that she could refund the item and then go purchase the item again. She had ordered some tea on the 2nd floor so she agreed to go get a new dress. When she returned she asked the staff to check the dress to see whether it had the same issue, but the staff ignored her. Pueng repeated again so finally the staff took a look and said there was a loose thread.
Pueng was ok with this as she could just cut the loose thread off, the last skirt had stitching that over crossed each other making the dress faulty. Pueng then told the staff “Next time check before answering, don’t inform customers information that you don’t truly know”, the staff looked at her and said sorry.
Then on the 13th, Pueng went to the same department store to purchase some items, when she arrived at the check-out the staff asked for her member number. The staff at the check-out counter kept asking what the number was and then finally the staff informed her that her membership name was in swears words. The membership was in her mother’s name, Pueng knew right away that the staff on the 5th changed her mother’s name as revenge.
Pueng’s mother’s name was changed to “You D#ck Dog Pu##Y Face”. Pueng reported this to the department store. The store found that the timing information on the receipt matched with when the staff in question was using the system. When confronted, the staff denied everything, but she put in a notice to quit working at the store effective immediately. The staff has been blacklisted from ever working for the company again.
