A man had been jumping from one rooftop to another in Pattaya City, Chonburi Province. The Pattaya police were notified and chased the man down. After 13 hours the man was finally caught in the corner of a rooftop. The incident started on 10 July 2021 when a man climbed onto the top of a hotel and started jumping onto the balconies of different rooms. Officials tried to save the man from a scary ending. They also sent in negotiators and tried different tactics but after 10 hours none of them worked. The goal was to help him down but he kept climbing onto different buildings next to each other. Police had a hard time tracking the man as he jumped from one roof to another.
At 1 am on 11 July 2021 officials found the man on the rooftop of a commercial building in Soi 8 Pattaya. Although he had nowhere to go anymore, the man, officials, and good citizens who followed the man were stuck on top. No one was in the building that was locked. Police contacted the Pattaya city for help who sent an aerial lift. Police and good citizens followed the man from building to building.
They caught the man but could not come down. Because all the buildings were very close to each other and electric wires were everywhere officials had a hard time reaching the man with the aerial lift. Police ended up contacting the persons living in the building. The doors were unlocked and finally the man along with police and good citizens came down safely. Kiatkun 43 year old was extremely exhausted and officials helped carry him down from the rooftop. He was then delivered to the hospital. After the man recovers, he will receive a drug test then taken to the police station.
