The Stock Exchange of Thailand has announced the shutdown of “The Marvel Experience: Theme Entertainment Attraction – TMX Thailand”. The Demeter Corporation a Public Company is one of the main investors into the Marvel Experience project in Thailand owning 37.5% of the total shares.

The company has decided at its 1/2562 shareholders meeting with over 62.5% of shareholders votes to shut down. The main reasoning for the closing of the superhero attraction is due to finance issues from circumstances not turning out like it was planned.

The Marvel Experience is opening its doors to any visitors who would like to say one last goodbye to the Marvel superheroes until 6 pm on the 29th of January this year. This is sad news for Marvel fans as the attraction has been open for less than a year. The news was announced through the official Facebook page “The Marvel Experience Thailand” along with how to ask for a refund for those who have pre-purchased tickets to the attraction at refund.heroexperience.co.th.

The main issue is that the attraction is not receiving enough attention to keep it going. Some Thai Netizens have commented on the announcement that this news is no surprise as the tickets are overpriced for what the attraction holds. Some also provide some reasonings that the superheroes inside look nothing like the Marvel superhero attractions abroad as they look cheaply made and is not worth bringing the whole family to the attraction. Hopefully, we will get to see a new and improved Marvel attraction in the future.
