Monkey snatches gold necklace from tourist
A 23-year-old Thai tourist was in shock after a monkey stole her gold necklace while she was exploring the Khao Sammuk tourist area in the eastern Thai coastal province of Chon Buri yesterday (June 22, 2020), the Thai-language daily Matichon reported.
Local volunteers searched the area and found the necklace under a tree.
Miss Erin Niamtang thanked the volunteers for their help. “I put my shoulder bag on the table under a tree and went for a walk with my friends,” she said. “I did not expect the monkey to search my bag and took my gold necklace.”
Khao Sammuk tourism officials later issued a warning to tourists about the monkeys.
