IT’S the rainy season, but motorcyclists in the northern Thai town of Mae Sai are staying dry, thanks to the “motorbike raincoat” imported from China and Taiwan, the Thai-language daily Thai Rath reported today (July 27).
The new invention has gone viral on social media, and local traders are cashing in on its popularity.
The Transport Department has inspected the raincoat and found it safe for motorcyclists. The raincoat made in China is sold for 350 baht, and those imported from Taiwan are sold for 450 baht.
