THE MRT subway train service faced another disruption this morning leaving several thousands of commuters stranded at almost all its stations along its route from Hua Lampong to Bang Sue, Thai PBS said.
MRT posted a notice at its Hua Lampong station saying “Train service will be temporarily suspended due to operational difficulties.
“MRT will resume normal operation around ……
“We apologize for the inconvenience.”
It was not immediately known what caused the disruption but it was said to be a major breakdown because by 8.30 a.m., an hour after the problem occurred at 7.30 a.m., the train system was still not back to normal .
Commuters had to wait at various stations and even at 8.40 a.m. the service was still not able to resume.
One passenger complained via JS 100 Radio Facebook saying he had to spend 35 minutes on the train travelling from Bang Sue to Rama 9 station.
