A 29-year-old Myanmar tuk-tuk driver was arrested in the northern Thai town of Mae Sot today (Oct 25) and charged with murdering a Myanmar woman on Oct 22, the Thai-language Daily News reported.
Police investigators were shocked to find the mutilated body of the 24-year-old victim in a bush not far from the city center.
The tuk-tuk driver said he choked the woman to death and took her gold necklace, but did not rape her. He put a stick into her bowels to prevent her soul from harming him, according to the policeman who talked to him.
