Myanmar police arrest 2 Thai drug suspects

MYANMAR police today (Nov. 26) arrested 2 wanted Thai drug traffickers in Tachilek, opposite Mae Sai in Chiang Rai, and seized many types of drugs, machines and chemicals, INN News reported.

Pol. Maj.  Gen. Wuthiwong Petchkamnert, head of Narcotics Control Office Region 3, was informed by Myanmar’s Pol.  Maj. So Niang,  chief of Narcotics Police Division 30, that they have arrested the 2 suspects at the targeted house, as requested by Thai police, and will be handing them over.

Arrest warrants had been issued for Mr. Sorayuth Kesrinirat and Mr. Prasarn Tasak, both residents of Chiang Rai, but against the former there is also a bounty of 100,000 baht for his arrest.

In raiding the building at Tachileik market, Myanmar police seized many types of drugs such as amphetamine pills and heroine, 2  machines, pistols and bullets, chemicals to produce drugs and other paraphernalia.

However the Myanmar police are holding all that they have seized to inspect and further expand investigation.
