Nakhon Phanom too flooded after 5 hours of rain
SIMILAR to Bangkok the northeastern province of Nakhon Phanom is also suffering from floods today (May 25) after almost five hours of continuous rain from 1 am, Matichon newspaper said.
Various roads in Muang District got flooded particularly Aphiban Bancha Road where the floodwater was almost 50 centimeters high because the accumulated water could not drain into Mekong river fast enough.
Business has been disrupted as floodwater flowed into some shops damaging goods and also wet markets.
The Meteorlogicial Department office in Nakhon Phanom said this could be the heaviest downpour in 10 years with the province receiving around 150 millimeters of rain.
