THE Secretary-General of National Security Council said today (Nov. 30) that the discovery of a large cache of war weapons in Chachoengsao province, east of Bangkok, shows that there are groups still watching to create unrest, INN News reported.
General Wanlop Rugsanaoh, the secretary-general of the National Security Council (NSC), said police officers are expanding their investigation into the discovery of a large cache of war weapons in Bang Nam Priao, Chachoengsao province, as to whether or not it is linked to politics.
However, he mentioned that there had been reports in the past that there are war weapons remaining in many places, and police are trying to check and see whether they are linked to any political groups.
Gen. Wanlop refused to say whether or not these weapons are linked to red-shirt leader Wutthipong Kachathamkhun, alias Ko Tee, or are of the same type found at his house.
Gen. Wanlop also refused to comment on whether the discovery of these weapons indicate that preparations have been made to start an unrest right now. However, he admitted that there are groups still moving and watching to start an unrest.
