A 50-year-old woman got the fright of her life after crashing her car into a big palm tree in the middle of the road in the central Thai province of Chai-nat yesterday (October 10, 2019), the Thai-language daily Thai Rath reported.
The woman drove from her hometown of Nakhon Sawan to visit her friend and collect 1,000 baht under the government campaign to promote public spending.
“I was in a hurry to return home and accidentally switched to the reverse gear,” she told police investigators.
“It was bad luck,” she said. “The 1,000 baht I receive is so little compared with what I have to pay for repairing my car, which has no insurance policy.”
