A forest fire in Loei’s famous Phu Kradueng National Park was finally brought under control on Monday morning (March 2, 2020) after destroying about 3,400 rai of forest area, sanook.com reported.
National Park Director-General Tanya Netithammakul said it was the biggest damage caused by forest fire in seven years,
However, rainfall around mid-March should help nourish the damaged area, with 80 percent of the forest land restored.
Mr. Tanya said he will talk with experts and academics about how to prevent fire in the park.
