Phuket’s measures to close all entry and exit points – land, sea and air – to combat the spread of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Phuket has issued a letter to the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) announcing its plans to close Phuket International Airport from 00.01 Hrs. of 10 April 2020, until 30 April 2020. The advanced notice is to allow seven days for the CAAT to inform relevant stakeholders.
This latest move followed Phuket’s announcement No. 11/2020 dated 29 March 2020, on the temporary closure of all entry and exit points – land and sea – into the island, effective from 00.01 Hrs. of 30 March 2020, until 30 April 2020, or until further notice.
