Police fail to link bar girl murder suspects to drug network

NARCOTICS control police said they have not uncovered enough evidence to link the three young suspects in the sensational and grisly murder of a karaoke bar girl to international drug networks, INN News said today (June 13).

Pol. Lt. Gen. Sommai Kongvisaisuk, head of narcotics control police, told INN News that his team has not yet unearthed enough evidence to link Priyanuch Nonwangchai or Preaw, Kawita Rachada or Earn and Apiwan Satayabundit or Jae who are charged with murdering and mutilating the body of Warisara Klinjui or Em in Khon Kaen last month to an international drug trafficking case but investigation is continuing to put all the pieces together.

Police suspect that this case might be linked to Laotian drug kingpin Xaysana Keopimpha but because this network is abroad investigation takes time.

However Pol. Lt. Gen. Sommai does not rule out any possibility at all adding that this case is similar to an investigation of various actors and entertainers who could be linked to drug networks but as yet there is not enough evidence to file a case.

Regarding well-known actress Napapa “Patt” Tantrakul, wife of Akarakit Worarojcharoendet, who is better known as Benz Racing, Pol. Lt. Gen. Sommai said detailed investigation has been conducted and the case report sent to prosecutors but initially no links to drug trafficking were found with the case being about money laundering.

Famous big-bike racer Benz Racing was indicted late last month on drug and money laundering charges.
