POLICE broke up a teenage Halloween party at 2 adjoining houses in Hua Hin where alcohol and drugs were served with 28 partygoers found to have taken narcotics, Thai News Agency said today (Nov. 1).
In the middle of last night of Prachuab Khiri Khan officials, provincial and Hua Hin police, soldiers from Hua Hin Peacekeeping Corps and officials from the Narcotics Control Board Region 7 surrounded the twin single-story houses which have connecting bedrooms but separate swimming pools that the teenagers had rented for a day.
The party was in full swing at the pool side when the police team burst in and rounded up the teen partygoers and tested their urine for drug consumption.
At the first house 17 of the 24 young partygoers were found to have taken drugs with 7 having taken amphetamines, 8 Ketamine and 2 both the drugs.
Ketamine was also found bundled up in 2 hundred baht notes and a twenty baht note but all denied ownership.
In the second house 11 of 17 teenagers were found to have taken drugs with 4 having taken amphetamines and 7 smoked marijuana.
Dried marijuana was found within this house as well as smoking device.
Somporn Pachimpetch, Prachuab Khiri Khan’s deputy governor, said the Narcotics Control Board tipped them off about the party and police at this seaside town have called the owner of the twin houses in for questioning because renting out property on daily basis falls under the category of operating a hotel without a license.
