Police seize nearly 800,000 illegal facemasks
Region 1 police yesterday (April 3, 2020) seized 787,779 facemasks and 10,000 liters of jell alcohol smuggled into the country from Vietnam, the Thai-language daily Thai Rath reported.
The smuggled goods were found in three houses in Samut Prakan, Nonthaburi and Don Muang. The smugglers said they planned to sell the facemasks for 14 baht per piece.
Two days earlier, the police arrested 31 smugglers on the same charges.
