OVER a hundred young tourists were found reveling at an illegal pub raided by a team of police, soldiers and officials early this morning, INN News said today (July 17).
Over 20 of the tourists tested positive for drugs with 18 of them being male and four female who had mostly taken Ecstasy and Ketamine in the pub’s restrooms. Found scattered on the pub’s floor were six bags of Ketamine and 20 tablets of Ecstasy.
Bang Lamung district chief Naris Niramaiwong ordered the raid after getting complaints about the pub, located on Pattaya 3 Road, which had been operating illegally for five years.
Police were able to arrest Mr Piyawat, 24, the pub’s DJ, and two women, Mrs Supranee, 33, and Miss Nathanan, 30, who said they were cashiers while also slapping four charges against the pub with these being operating an entertainment facility without permission, selling alcohol without permission, violating an official order and carelessly letting clients use drugs.
