THE Office of the Attorney General said today (Aug. 1, 2018) that they have drafted a request to extradite Red Bull heir Mr Vorayuth Yoovidhya, or Boss, who is wanted in Thailand for reckless driving that led to a policeman being killed in 2012, but are still waiting for details of his overseas residence from the police, INN News reported.
Mr Amnart Chotichai, the director general of the International Affairs Department of the Office of Attorney General, said he already knew that the police had liaised with the Interpol and a red notice for the suspect’s arrest had been issued, but the police had yet to poinpoint his residence.
However his department has prepared an extradition request and if the location is sent can proceed with it right away.
Even so, Mr Amnart pointed out that there are limitations of bilateral extradition treaties with examples being suspects in political or religious cases who are not sent back even if they are found.
Should the grounds for the extradition request not be considered a wrongdoing in their country then the suspect can fight it in their courts, he added
