A YOUNG couple racing up a bridge on a big bike in adjacent Nonthaburi province slammed into a 10-wheel truck and both died on the spot in each other’s’ arms, Sanook.com reported this morning (June 7, 2018).
Chaiyapruek police station officers rushed to the scene of the accident in the middle of Sapan Tad Mai outbound from Chaiyapruek road to Bang Bua Thong where the couple was found dead lying on top of each other after suffering severe head wounds.
Police later identified the couple, who were both wearing white shirts and black pants, as Suvapach, 23, and Ms Siriporn, 26, with their Honda CB300 bike completely smashed.
An eyewitness, Mr Manosith, told police that he was going up the bridge on his pickup truck when he saw the bike zooming up very fast in the middle lane.
He later heard a loud sound but did not see the accident happening. However, he did notice that while the truck driver slowed down, he did not step out to help the 2 victims, but he did so.
Police are as yet uncertain whether the motorbike hit the truck or not and are checking CCTV footage to verify the facts of the accident.
