A 32-year-old Russian burglar was arrested at 3.00 a.m. yesterday (Sept 27, 2020) while trying to break into a tourist bungalow at Doi Suthep-Pui National Park in the northern Thai province of Chiang Mai, sanook.com reported.
Park officials were on their night patrol when they saw the burglar, who stabbed one of the officials in the neck before running away. Two other park officials managed to catch him and called Puping Ratchaniwej Police Station.
The police station has beefed up night patrols after a surge in burglary during the past two months. The case of the Russian burglar is rare.
