Screech! Pigs on Bangkok expressway

BANGKOK motorists getting off the expressway at the Chaeng Wattana exit this morning (Sept 19) were shocked to find a female pig with its three babies in the middle of the road, Sanook.com reported.

Photos of the pig family went viral after it was posted online by a motorist, who nearly killed them.

Mr Banyat Chai-aroon, head of the Wild Animal Protection Division, said the pigs were likely raised by their owner living near the expressway.

“Wild pigs are no longer classified as protected animals. They can be raised as ordinary pigs,” he told Sanook.com.
