After a 25-year-long wait, seven families in Village Group 4 of Tha Chee sub-district in Nasarn district of the southern Thai province of Surat Thani no longer have to live without electricity.
Officials from the Regional Electricity Authority (REA) yesterday (21 Jan 2021) inspected the installment of a new electricity pole on each side of the Tapee River.
The Tha Chee Municipality will pay for electricity to ensure safety for the families as well as car drivers and wild animals that usually enter the area at night.
REA officials will also help the locals to install electric wires inside their homes, which will be linked to the main electrical system.
