Bug-eaters know where to find their favorite dishes with affordable prices. But a new menu recently offered by a food shop in the northern Thai province of Lampang is causing a stir.
One item on the new menu is fried baby crickets, which are priced at 3,500 baht per kilogram, Sanook.com reported today (June 21).
These Thai crickets lay eggs only once a year. So their eggs are considered ‘exotic’ among wealthy bug-eaters who can afford to buy them.
If you are a die-hard bug eater, get in the car and drive to Kard Toong Kwien Village in Lampang. Traders there ensure you won’t be disappointed.
