Silom line running smoothly again after morning chaos

SKYTRAIN commuters faced a serious disruption this morning as a train broke down between Saphan Taksin and Krung Thonburi station from 7.59 a.m. onwards with the Silom line running normally again at 9.09 a.m., Thai News Agency and FM91bkk.com said.

At 7.56 a.m. BTS announced that there was a problem between these two stations leading to a 10-minute delay.

At 8.17 a.m. BTS announced  that the Silom line is facing problems and this is being resolved. Commuters were warned that they should be prepared for a 30-minute delay and allow for extra commuting time.

At 8.45 a.m. BTS announced that as the Silom line is facing problems and cannot move, another train is being brought in to help out.

At 8.50 a.m. BTS announced that another train has been brought in and has successfully towed the malfunctioning train to Krung Thonburi station with commuters who were stuck in the  train that had broken down having safely disembarked.
