St Gabriel’s students stage protest against management

THE students, parents and alumni of Saint Gabriel’s College in Bangkok staged a protest against the management this morning (Feb. 19) for allegedly not being transparent, INN News reported.

The protest took place at the lawn within the school with the parents and alumni dressed in black.

The students accuse the management of not being transparent in using school funds and providing poor quality lunch.

Today’s protest follows the one which took place last Friday where final year students sang songs to pressure the administration.

Saint Gabriel’s College is famous in this country and has many famous alumni including Privy Councilor Gen. Surayud Chulanont, Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Gen. Prawit Wongsuwan and  Gen. Udomdej Sitabutr, former army chief and defense minister.

This is a private Catholic all-boys school based in Bangkok and was founded by the Brothers of Saint Gabriel in 1920, Wikipedia.com said.
