Teachers and students fled in panic when more than 20 wild monkeys raided their school canteen in the southern Thai province of Krabi at lunch time yesterday (Feb 27, 2019), the Thai-language daily Matichon reported.
No one was hurt by the monkeys, which returned to the forest after finishing their lunch.
Forestry officials who came to the school said food was scarce in the forest this year. They will catch the monkeys in the next few days and take them to a shelter.
