Students get good lunch after scandal

School administrators in Hanka district of the central Thai province of Chai-nat have upgraded the quality of lunch for their students after receiving a torrent of condemnation from parents, the Thai-language daily Khao Sod reported yesterday (August 27, 2019).

The scandal broke after the students told their parents that only one or two dishes were served by the school. Desserts or fresh fruits were served once in a while.

The students told local reporters that they were very happy about the change. “Now we get two lunch menus with desserts,” they said.
