More Thais seek jobs in S. Korea

MORE than 2,500 people in Nakhon Ratchasima and nearby provinces submitted their applications to seek jobs in South Korea on the first day of registration today (June 1, 2018), the Thai-language daily Matichon reported.

“The number of applicants is much higher than we expected,” a local Labor Department official told the paper.

“Job-seekers who pass Korean language and technical skill tests will have their names recorded in the computer for two years, as agreed by the two governments,” he added.

The first group to be sent to South Korea comprises 2,000 male and female workers.
