Thieves steal wing mirrors from tourist vehicles

THIEVES stole wing mirrors from 13 vehicles parked overnight at Chet Khot – Pong Kon Sao Nature and Eco Tourism Study Center in central Saraburi province and police think at least 3 to 4 of them carried out this unusual robbery, INN News reported today (Nov. 12).

Mr Saratcha Suriyakul Na Ayutthaya,  director of the Conservation Area Administration Office 1 Saraburi Branch, said the thieves stole the mirrors from parked vehicles while tourists were sleeping in tents at this park on the western edge of Khao Yai last night.

Police said while wing mirrors were stolen from these vehicles other valuables within them were left untouched and that they were going through CCTV footage to identify the suspects.

While this park has guards going around every hour at night police say the suspects, totaling at least 3 to 4 of them, had laid a good plan and posted lookouts to prevent guards from catching them.

Right now officials are checking for the tracks of the thieves and have imposed stricter security measures on who can enter the park.

The nearby communities were also told to help catch the thieves.
