Thieves take cash from monk’s home

A newly-ordained Buddhist monk lost all his cash and valuables worth more than 2.5 million baht when  thieves broke into his home yesterday evening (Sept 14, 2018), broke his safe and fled with the loot, the Thai-language daily Khao Sod reported today.

The house owner had just got a lot of money from traders who brought all his tapioca stocks yesterday. Also stolen were 25 baht weight of gold and bank books with 1.5 million baht cash deposits.

His wife was at work yesterday evening and all the children were in school.
