It all started when the Thai citizen walked into the tourist, this caused the tourist to drop his iPhone 11 onto the train floor. The Thai citizen can’t speak English so he said “Sorry, Sorry” the page stated that the lack of communication made the apology sound insincere. The tourist became angry and started assaulting the Thai man right on the train. Good citizens nearby put themselves in between the tourist and the Thai man hoping that the situation will calm down.
The recorded footage shows the tourists attempting to reach the Thai man, he came close enough and punched the Thai man in the face. Another Thai citizen wearing a yellow shirt ran in to help the Thai man who was being assaulted. The good citizen maintained his position and stood between the tourist and the Thai man. This is when the good citizen asked “what did you do to him?” and the Thai man answered, “I didn’t do anything”. When they arrived at the Hua Lam Phong Station, the Thai man who was assaulted ran out of the train.
Netizens had mixed comments about the incident. Some stated that saying sorry is not enough, especially if the phone was damaged from the drop then the Thai man should take some responsibility other than saying sorry and walking away. Some stated that the tourist might’ve taken the situation too far, being calmer might’ve given a better outcome.
