Train services shut over Covid-19
To prevent the spread of Covid-19, Samut Sakhon’s Provincial Committee on Communication Diseases has stopped two train services to protect locals and visitors.
The announcement will affect the Mahachai-Wongwianyai and Maeklong-Ban Laem routes, according to the Thai-language daily Thai Rath.
Starting from today (21 Dec 2020) until 3 January 2021, travellers have to take bus services or private cars.
The Mahachai Market was quiet this morning, with only locals buying fresh fish, meat and vegetables and other necessities.
