The government’s campaign to replant trees in denuded forests will kick off on Sunday (August 25, 2019) in Na Haew district of the northern Thai province of Loei, the Thai-language daily Khao Sod reported yesterday (August 16, 2019).
Altogether, 1.5 million rai of land will be replanted with teak and two other hard-wood trees in 13 provinces, which will be protected by the Forestry Department.
Local people will help protect the trees and replant them when they die.
