The Ukrainian couple got lost in the Khao Ngon Nak forest in Krabi province. Workpoint News reported on the 7th of this month that the married couple was discovered at 2 am in the morning. They entered the forest during the evening and never returned out from the forest.
The officials, forest rangers from Hat Noppharat Thara – Mu Ko Phi Phi, and the local rescue team formed a search group that successfully found the couple in the forest. After almost 8 hours of search, the Ukrainian couple was successfully found. Both the man and women were not harmed and were happy to be rescued.
The officials found the couple on top of the Khao Ngon Nak mountain, about 5 kilometers away from the forest’s main office. The officials handed the couple some food and water before successfully bringing them down through a 2-hour hike from the top of the mountain at 4 am.
When the search reached 5 hours and the couple still wasn’t found at around 1 am, the officials contacted some Ukrainian friends to come to join the search. Drones were also used to help officials see from a higher view. After using the drones the couple was still not discovered, so the officials contacted the friends of the lost persons and discovered that they still were able to communicate through Line application.
The officials then informed the couple to put their phones into battery saving mode for further communications. The last location sent from the couple by GPS is on top of the Khao Ngon Nak mountain. Finally, after almost 8 hours the couple were found, all involved in the search were extremely happy to find the couple before anything bad happened to them.
