Uncle falls down 17 meter well rescued.
An uncle falls down a well that is 17 meters deep and survives. He has also reunited with a relative after searching for 15 long years thanks to the story going viral online. The 55 year old man almost didn’t make it after 5 hours in the well. The incident took place on 23 July 2021 when the man accidentally fell into the well. He kept screaming hoping that someone would hear his call for help. Finally after 5 hours a local heard his voice. Officials were notified and came to rescue the man.
The story was shared on the Kled Kaew Sub-district Facebook page. The page was contacted by a relative of the man revealing that they have been searching for 15 years. Yossawat Phuwarattnalerdkun the Village Chief of Kled Kaew went to visit the uncle in Sattahip District, Chonburi Province. Lamiad the uncle lives in a shed by the road. Officials connected the relatives through a video call. Both sides cried tears of joy from all the years that they have been missing each other. Lamiad is very thankful for the village chief and the media sharing his story that led to finding his relatives.
Yossawat stated the page received news from a relative in Surin Province. They recognized him from the news as the person they have been searching for. Officials decided to visit the uncle to help reunite him with the family. The relative sent a message to the page stating “The man who fell in the well is my uncle. We have lost contact with him for 15 years. The family has been worried about him and have been trying to contact uncle. He changed his phone number and never called anyone in the family. Our family really wants to reconnect with him”. Through the video call they got to hear each other’s voices after 15 years. The uncle started crying, the moment was unbelievable. The village chief promises to help deliver the uncle to his family in Surin after the current Covid-19 situation improves.
