THANKS to a video call, a male tourist from Dubai was saved by Thai fire-fighters early this morning after he got stuck in a Pattaya hotel elevator for nearly two hours, the Thai-language daily Thai Rath reported today (March 4).
The 27-year-old tourist entered the 4th floor elevator around 3.30 a.m. to meet a friend who had been waiting for him at the ground-floor lobby. A few seconds after it descended, the elevator shut down.
The quick-thinking tourist made a video call to his roommate from his mobile phone. The reception desk called fire-fighters, who pumped oxygen into the elevator before prying open the door.
