Harbor Department officials and Pattani provincial authorities yesterday (March 4, 2020) seized six Vietnamese fishing boats with 36 men on board off the coast of Pattani province, the Thai-language daily Khao Sod reported.
All 36 men were charged with illegal fishing and encroaching on Thai territory.
Thai public health officials also carried out medical check-ups on the Vietnamese fishermen under the government policy to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
