Well-known weather watcher Smith Thammasarote yesterday (Dec 4, 2018) warned that Thailand will face serious drought next year as a result of global warming, the Thai-language daily Thai Rath reported.

Not only Thailand but also countries around the world will be affected by rising temperatures, he said.

Apart from deforestation and heat released by households and manufacturing plants, billions of cars around the world also contribute to global warming,” said Mr Smith.

“In Thailand, the most affected group will be the farmers,” he added.
